　　　　在第三部中，讲述了钢铎王族后代阿拉贡重新夺回王位的故事，其中有一段是人类的西部联军取得了王者之都保卫战的胜利后，阿拉贡率军反攻黑暗君主索隆的老巢魔都的情节，当时西部联军的士兵已经为数不多，此次进攻完全是冒险为了吸引索隆的注意力，让弗洛多和山姆能够更安全的销毁魔戒。
